Ggwaatiro Hospital is one of the oldest privately owned health facilities in Uganda, located in the central zone of Bweyogerere Ward, Kira Town Council — just 7 miles from Kampala City Centre and about 200m off the Kampala–Jinja highway.
Founded in 1981, the hospital started as a small dispensary in Kirinya, was later transferred to Bweyogerere as a nursing home, and in 2012 was declared and recognised as a hospital by the Ministry of Health.
